Cancellation and Refund Policy

LEAN/REGULAR SEASON
(June 16 – October 14)

Lean/Regular Season - High/Peak Season - Super Peak Season
REFUND, where applicable, will take place 30-60 banking days after cancellation requirements are completed. Please note that all bank charges have to be shouldered by the guest/client.

21 WORKING DAYS PRIOR ARRIVAL

Cancellation notifications received within 21 banking days prior to the check-in date will NORMALLY be entitled to a FULL REFUND less transaction cost and the money transfer charge for the refund. However, exceptions to the charges may apply depending on the prevailing policies imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the cancellation has been made.
15-20 WORKING DAYS PRIOR ARRIVAL

Cancellation notifications received within 15-20 banking days prior to the check-in date will warrant a cancellation charge equivalent to 10% of the booking amount, less the money transfer charge for the refund.

Exceptions to the charges may apply depending on the prevailing policies imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the cancellation has been made. And where the opportunity loss to us is negligible, we would be happy to waive any cancellation charge and give our clients a full refund, less the transaction cost and the money transfer charge for the refund.
8-14 WORKING DAYS PRIOR ARRIVAL

Cancellation notifications received within 8-14 banking days prior to the check-in date may warrant a cancellation charge equivalent to One (1) Night Room Charge per room booked, less the transaction cost and the money transfer charge for the refund.

Exceptions to the charges may apply depending on the prevailing policies imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the cancellation has been made. And where the opportunity loss to us is negligible, we would be happy to waive any cancellation charge and give our clients a full refund, less the transaction cost and the money transfer charge for the refund.

WASH-DOWNS (Changes in the Booking Dates) – Changes in Booking dates made 8-14 days before check-in date would be subject to availabilities and approval from the hotel or resort.

SHORT STAY: One (1) night per room charge may apply to shortened booking days made
8-14 days before check-in. However such charge is only applicable to a select number of resorts. In some limited cases, paid room nights cancelled may be converted to food, transfers etc… based on agency’s contracted rates, subject to hotel/resort approval.

3-7 WORKING DAYS PRIOR ARRIVAL

Cancellation notifications received within 3-7 banking days prior to the check-in date will warrant a cancellation charge equivalent to 50% of the entire booking amount, less the money transfer charge for the refund.

Exceptions to the charges may apply depending on the prevailing policies imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the cancellation has been made. In cases where exceptions can be made the following charges may apply:

HOTELS - a full one (1) night charge per room shall be imposed.
RESORTS - for resort bookings where charges are on a per person per night basis, a full one (1) night charge per person per room shall be imposed.

Exceptions may also mean that cancellations made may be rebooked within 6 months after the cancelled dates without charges (as per hotel/resort approval) but shall be subject to the applicable rate of the rebooked dates.

WASH-DOWNS (Changes in the Booking Dates) – Changes in Booking dates made 3-7 banking days before check-in could warrant a one (1) night per room “wash-down charge” especially if the original booking dates fall a day before, during, and a day after a super peak date (i.e. local holiday… etc) or during long-weekends. However such charge is only applicable to a select number of resorts. New booking dates shall be subject to availabilities and approval from the hotel or resort.

SHORT STAY: Short stays are NON-REFUNDABLE if notification is given 3-7 days before check in. However, exceptions could apply depending on the prevailing policy imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the notification has been given.

In cases where exceptions can be made (based on resort/hotel’s prevailing policies), the following charges may apply:

HOTELS - a full one (1) night charge per room shall be imposed.
RESORTS - for resort bookings where charges are on a per person per night basis, a full one (1) night charge per person per room shall be imposed.

In some limited cases, paid room nights cancelled may be converted to food, transfers etc… depending on hotel/resort approval.

1- 2 WORKING DAYS PRIOR ARRIVAL

If notification of cancellation is received 1-2 banking days prior to check-in date 50-100% of the total booking amount shall be charged depending on the prevailing policy imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the cancellation has been made.

WASH-DOWNS (Changes in the Booking Dates) – Changes in Booking dates made 1-2 banking days before check-in may warrant a one (1) night per room “wash-down charge”. New booking dates shall be subject to availabilities and approval from the hotel or resort.

SHORT STAY – Short stays are NON-REFUNDABLE if notification is given 1-2 days before check in. However, exceptions could apply depending on the prevailing policy imposed by hotel/resort applicable at the time the advise has been given.

In cases where exceptions can be made (based on resort/hotel’s prevailing policies), the following charges may apply:

HOTELS - a full one (1) night charge per room shall be imposed.
RESORTS - for resort bookings where charges are on a per person per night basis, a full one (1) night charge per person per room shall be imposed.

In some limited cases, paid room nights cancelled may be converted to food, transfers etc… based on agency’s contracted rates, subject to hotel/resort approval.

ARRIVAL DATE OR DURING STAY
CANCELLATION – NO REFUND. If notification of cancellation is on your check-in date, or during your stay, 100% of the total booking amount shall be charge.

NO SHOW - No REFUND. 100% of the total booking amount shall be charged.

WASH DOWN - (Changes in the Booking Dates) – Changes in Booking Dates made on the check-in date,(moving the arrival date to a later time… etc…) shall be considered as cancellation and will be subject to hotel/resort’s approval and charges.

SHORT STAY - Short stays are NON-REFUNDABLE if advise is given on the check-in date or during your stay. In some limited cases, paid room nights cancelled may be converted to food, transfers etc… depending on hotel/resort approval based on the agency’s contracted rate with the hotel/resort.

Unused Services
No refund will be paid to the client for failure to utilize any part of the travel and tour package arrangements provided by THEISLANDTRIPS.COM or DOTCOM INTERNATIONAL MARKETING, INC.

Note: The following conditions may NORMALLY apply but take note the current policies imposed by hotel/resort, airlines or any travel related services are applicable at the time the cancellation has been made shall prevail.
